Caring for Rou Lingzhi requires the right approach to maintain its vitality. The most common method is water immersion: place the Rou Lingzhi in clean purified or mineral water, with the water level just covering the specimen.
Key care tips include: change the water regularly (every 7–15 days is recommended), maintain a suitable temperature (15–25°C is ideal), avoid direct sunlight, and use a transparent glass container for easy observation. The used water, commonly known as “Taisui water,” has various traditional uses in folk culture.
Important notes: Rou Lingzhi should not be in prolonged contact with metal containers, nor should it be placed in environments with high temperatures, intense light, or chemical odors. A well-maintained environment will keep your Rou Lingzhi in optimal condition and may even allow it to grow slowly over time.
